Christmas is just around the corner

Back in my country of origin, as early as September, retailers and entrepreneurs get busy trying to reap the benefits of what is known as the Christmas shopping phenomenon. Naturally, what comes with this is a massive Ad. promotions, and visual merchandising spend to complement the sorroundings of the modern day parks (of the Philippines) that is the malls. Here in Oz, they dress this tree up as a lifesize Christmas tree and put dangles on it that reflect the Christmas holiday feel. It is already the 3rd week of October, and still no signs of those accessories. Nevertheless, this image has reminded me that Christmas is just around the corner. Surprisingly enough, this tree is found at the corner of our street.
